The 8-hour rule starts the last Monday of August! The Parent/Student Acknowledgement Form must be on file on or before that date. You can download this form from the Marching Band pull-down above.
Safety Training for Marching Band Directors and all marching band personnel, including guard and percussion instructors, field techs, etc., must be completed immediately. This is state law, as per SB 82! Dick Floyd was able to customize this training for band directors, and the process is very user friendly. The training is available on the UIL website, and you are to download the certificate of completion and file it with your administration prior to the beginning of summer rehearsals. Hopefully you have already done that. Here is the link:
